Private pay as you go or joining the membership

Recently I have had a lot of patients discussing with us the benefit of joining the practice membership v's paying as you go for your dental treatment.

For most people the best option for you is to join the membership plan as you save money on your treatments, get exclusive offers that are not available to anyone else, you get access to the global accident and emergency scheme and you are registered with the practice. However we do also have the option available to pay as you go.

Before you can select the option that is right for you your new patient examination needs to have taken place. This is charged at £50 and includes a thorough examination, x-rays as require and a full treatment plan and estimate of any further treatment needed.

Pay as you go

Regular check ups are priced at £35 for our pay as you go patients, your dentist will advise how regularly you need to attend. If you wish to have a scale and polish that will be a further £35.

Pay as you go works best for people with great oral health who don't need or want a scale and polish. Also those who rarely need any additional treatment.

Although you are registered with the practice priority appointments do go to members so you may have to wait a little longer for an appointment

Membership

If you visit the practice every 6 months and love to get a scale and polish then the membership plan is perfect for you. Over the course of the year you will save £8 on those treatments alone but on top of that you will get 10% discount on routine treatments - perfect if you have only just started to see the dentist regularly and you need some treatment to get your oral health up to scratch.

You can join the membership plan right away after your new patient check up so if you are advised you need any further treatment and you join on the day you will get 10% off your bill.

It is also perfect for those of you who travel and want some insurance for dental emergencies when you are away from home.
